I spent a lot of time considering acoustic guitars and came to two conclusions - they're expensive and won't hold a tune. Although they LOOK like little instruments the strings are so flimsy you're never going to get any decent music out of them. This makes them relatively useless and the kids tire of them quickly. This one is clearly a toy - it isn't a stepping stone to teaching your kids music theory. But it's FUN.
